GIVEnSHOOT Event for Anubandh

Friends, here is your opportunity to explore your long unfulfilled desire to try Olympic-style rifle shooting – that too with World Champion Ms. Anjali Bhagwat, at the Anjali Bhagwat Shooting Academy (ABSA), in the heart of Pune City.
You will get a training session for real Olympic-style rifle shooting, shoot on a real range and get a nicely framed certificate with your own Bulls-Eye target as a souvenir from the hands of Anjali Bhagwat. Simultaneously, enjoy a fun-filled half-day with your friends and family.

Activity suitable for all Age Groups.

Funds raised through this event will be utilized to fund ‘Anubandh’, a project promoted by Rotary Club of Pune Metro (RCPM)

About Project Anubandh:

We all know that cancer is one of the most dreaded diseases in the world. It doesn’t differentiate between the rich and poor, or urban and rural. However, the impact of cancer is far more severe on rural and poor folks, due to travel and income constraints.
Thankfully, there is a silver lining now. Due to advances in the medical field, if detected and treated early, cancer patients can live a normal life.
Anubandh is a novel and unique approach to provide end-to-end patient care. Our process includes:
Increasing awareness about early detection in rural areas;
Organizing cancer screening camps;
Bringing suspected cancer patients to city hospitals for confirmatory diagnostics;
Providing necessary treatment – especially for rural, needy patients
Providing counseling for patients to minimize cancer-induced mental stress
Data (anonymized to protect patient identity) collection for analyzing and fine-tuning future strategies.
Anubandh will focus on 3 types of cancer to begin with – oral cancer, breast cancer and cervical cancer. These three types a cover large majority of cancer cases.
Total estimated funds required for this project are
INR 38 lakhs. We will screen at least 2000 patients through 24 cancer screening camps and provide treatment.
