If we look all around us, we see a steady decline of values in our society. In all walks of life and all strata of the society, there is evidence of downward spiral in moral and social behaviour of people. The situation is alarming. Everyone wants to stop it. But doesn’t know what to do.
Rotary Club of Pune Metro has an answer.
Fall in social standards and norms can only be arrested, if we inculcate “values” at a very young age in our children.
But how to do it without preaching them? Young children will remember for their lifetime what is “good” for them, if they discover it themselves. Rotary Club of Pune Metro is convinced that “Awakened Citizen Program” (ACP) of Vivekananda Institute of Values (VIVA), Gurugram, is the best way to achieve this long term goal. It is a three-year, graded, value education program which leads to the discovery of hidden potential within children and equips them with tools and techniques to work out options to solve ANY problem. Problems, which we are not aware of OR can not even think of. Children discover and learn by themselves how to make responsible choices. This empowers them to be worthy citizens of tomorrow’s India.
After implementing the first year of this three-year program in some ten schools, we have collated a compendium of feedback and reports from these schools. It confirms that the program is a game changer and powerful. It made us believe that the future of India is bright & safe in the hands of such youngsters.

Learning outcomes from A C P are so far reaching that it addresses many issues and teaches many tools and techniques. 

Foundation for Citizenship Program
The classical Awakened Citizen Program (ACP) requires a three year commitment from the schools, with training of teachers every year. VIVA also offers a single year programme called “Foundation for Citizenship Program” (FCP) which can be conducted through sixteen (16) modules over a period of one or more years by teachers as per their convenience. It can be administered to students of 6th or 7th or 8th standards OR simultaneously in all the three standards for the benefit of maximum students. It is as effective as the classical three-year ACP and has the same learning outcomes.

ACP is a flagship program of Vivekandad Institute of Values (VIVA) and is implemented in more than 5,500 schools all over India. Ramakrishna Mission already has approval from CBSE,  SCERT of some other states like MP & Rajasthan, as well as institutions such as Kendriya Vidyalaya Board (KVB). It makes implementation of NEP 2020 in schools easy.
