Our club’s Vocational Service Awards ceremony took place on the 11th of January’ 2024.
A Vocational Service Awards committee was formed having Convenor Rtn. Manjiri Kuvavala, Rtn. Madhavi Chouhan, Ann. Ashwini Joshi, Rtn. Dattatray Punchwagh, Rtn. Padma Shahane and Rtn. Reshma Sambhare. The awards ceremony was successfully conducted under the guidance of, Club Admin Rtn. Mohan Chatre and his team, January Saarathis,
This year for the first time people from various industries who have risen through the ranks with their sheer determination, hard work and their desire to strive for better, were asked to be nominated by RCMP members. Numerous nominations were received, out of which five were shortlisted.
- Rtn. Deepk Bodahni nominated Mr. Jitendra Paygude.
- Rtn. Reshma Sambhare nominated Mr. Sambhaji Kale and Mr. Vasant Pawar.
- Rtn. Manjusha Bhave nominated Mr. Ranjeet Kadam.
- Rtn. Datta Deshpande nominated Mr. Ananta Salvi.
The Vocational Service Awards ceremony started with a very fitting prayer sung by Ann Sujata Mhalgi. Convener Rtn. Manjiri Kuvavala welcomed chief guest District Vocational Director Rtn. Vasantrao Malunjkar, Precident Rtn. Surekha Deshpande, RCPM members, all the awardees and guests. She spoke about the general thought behind the selection of the awardees.
After a brief introduction, each awardee was felicitated with a shawl, shripal, gift and a certificate by chief guest District Vocational Director Rtn. Vasantrao Malunjkar along with Precident Rtn. Surekha Deshpade.
The awardees, then shared their life experiences and inspiring journeys they have made despite facing most adverse situations.
Our esteemed chief guest District Vocational Director Rtn. Vasantrao Malunjkar was very eloquently introduced by Ann. Ashwini Joshi. Our chief guest for the evening congratulated the awardees on being the proud recipient of Vocational Service Awards, he also congratulated their families for the inspiring journeys they have made. He then shared the importance of Vocational visits and vocational projects and Vocational Awards in the overall picture of Rotary.
President Rtn. Surekha Deshpande felicitated chief guest District Vocational Director Rtn. Vasantrao Malunjkar as a token of our appreciation. A vote of thanks was proposed by Ann Ashwini Joshi, and was delivered by Convener Rtn. Manjiri Kuvavala.
