Goan Style!
A wonderful evening was had by all. The evening started with a fellowship with Goan music in the background. The formal meeting was followed by Rotarian Shobhanatai Paranjape who shared the details of her work with the Rastriya Mahila Samiti and its NGO – Friends of Tribal Society working for upliftment and empowerment of rural India. In October 2023 at the AGM of Rastriya Mahila Samiti, first time two individual awards were announced: one to the founder of the Rastriya Mahila Samiti and the other to Shobhanatai for streamlining and establishing the Samiti’s newsletter – Ekal Shakti. Shobhanatai shared this proud moment with the Club members by sponsoring the dinner for today’s program.
Then Choreographers Mayuri and Tanvi took the stage and brought the entire room on its feet. Almost 60 or so attendees danced to the Goan and other tunes following the footsteps of our brilliant choreographers. The dance performance was then continued by the program committee for 2024-25 fundraiser. A curtain raiser of this upcoming fundraiser event was received well with many on the spot sponsorships announced by the members.
All attendees enjoyed a scrumptious four-course meal which included delicious Goan, Italian and Thai flavours! Heartiest Congratulations to President Surekha, Admin Director Mohan and the Program Committee members for yet another successful, fun-filled and a well-attended Club event!
